I'm looking for a bike rack similar to the one on the attached picture. The picture is of a Hallmark camper. I'd like to do the same to my 2008 Lance 825. Thank it's possible? Could the Lance handle it? Anyone know where to purchase such a bike rack? Thanks!

Camping World has one that hooks on the ladder. It doesn't look like the one in your picture, but it's pretty cheap Smile

If my camper had a ladder, that would probably work. But if I'm to drill holes to attach a ladder, might as well drill holes to attach a bike rack instead.

I went in the other direction I installed a receiver hitch on the front of my truck from JC whitney and used a Thule 3 bike carrier. Didn't like the idea of blocking my tail lights. Up front less road dust only bugs to clean of the bikes and yes I was asked many time why the hitch on the front

I too went the front rack set up. I found that hanging one on the ladder didn't work. Always in the way. Sometimes I leave it on the bike rack on my Jeep, bu up front is best way to keep everything out of harms way.

Love the idea of putting a bike rack up-front. Do you notice much movement in the rack? And how many bikes would you feel comfortable with?

I use a HUGE rack as my Long Wheel BAse Recumbent BIke is nearly 8 feet long. No movement at all. Hint:use some washer to take up any movement on the pin that fits into the reciever. I have had two regural bikes up there too. PG

Just a quick note on the front rack... I use one to carry my spare tire as my truck has a tank where the spare usually goes. It's beefed up a bit to accomidate the weight but works just fine.

Does anyone have any experience with a SURCO ladder bike rack - it's US made and certainly not available in Aussie. Looks to be the dog's nuts, and if recommended I'll try and get one sent over.
