Does anyone have a tried and true method for cleaning the pickup electrodes in the waste water tanks? Both the black and gray levels are reading 2/3+ after emptying, so the monitor panel is becoming pretty useless for them. I've seen some liquid additives, but haven't heard whether they work or if they're just money down the drain (no pun intended).

You Airstream guys ever hang out with the FMCA "Bus Nuts"?

No, I've never heard of it. It's been many years since we've owned an Airstream. We owned two HitchHiker 5th wheels after the Airstreams and in '01 we sold the last HH... only owned a Lance since. Travel is a pleasure and hassle free with the Lance. Big Grin

I have also had such level read-out problems.

I will try the Pinesol fix.

Thanks

Yes, You can get this from your local hardware. Actually, the one I buy is granular, not liquid, which you mix with warm water to activate. But I would guess that they are all basically the same.

Thanks guys. I hope the process will reverse the condition. Joe, you mentioned 'microbes' and I'm not sure what product you may be referring to. Is that the same as some of the enzyme liquids there are for deodorizing?

That is the good thing about groups like this, we can pass on what we have learned over the years.

I use about the same method as Joe to keep my taks clean and it works.

Hey, Joe, what a coincidence... We've owned/towed Airstreams all over the US from '76 to '93. We owned a Lance during that time too. Big Grin
