I have loaded some photos of our vacation to Colorado in Septmeber in my Photo Gallerysome are of Colorado Spring and RMNP. I also took a few at Trinidad State Park. This was the first long trip we took in our 915.

Dave and Beth,
Nice pics of your TC and campsite. From the state park website, the lake itself doesn't seem that great, maybe since it was built in 1978 and hasn't had a chance for much growth around the edges. Did you travel the Highway of Legends any further up in to the higher terrain toward the town of La Veta? We have driven thru Trinidad at least 75 times and always say we should go west and explore. Now with our new Lance I am making a vow to do that. Rick,
We had a lakeside camp site. By the looks of the website I thought there might be a five to ten foot drop to the waters edge. Boy was I wrong. It was a straight 200 ft drop down to the water from our site. Wouldn't want to miss a step. The CG is quite nice although not near the water to say. There are a couple of boat ramps on the lake but your not going to pull your boat up to the back of your site. We did take the legends highway all the way up to Monument Lake but decided to turn around as the lady said the pass was at 12,000 ft and we were already having some troubles with the alt. It is really beautifull up there and I would encourage a tour of the Legends Highway. Next time we are going to do the whole loop. We dropped the TC and did the drive. It's kind of a shame what the mining has done to the area but I guess that the breaks. Lots of small CG's along the road and a pretty nice on up at Monument Lake along with some cabins. Real nice folks up there when we were there although they were getting ready to shut it down for the season. We where there in mid September. No snow there, that came a couple of day's later in RMNP. Let me know if you have any questions. Dave and Beth |

That's really good to hear about lots of small CGs along the Legends Hwy. That's totally our style. You have been REALLY helpful with your reply.
