If you are a history buff you might want to camp here. One mile north of Atoka on Hwy 69, behind the museum. One night limit. Undesignated sites, picnic table, drinking water.Train track about 60 ft away & some highway noise. Museum hours are 9 am to 4 pm, Mon-Fri. The camp site is free. There is an old Confederate cemetery on the grounds. The museum has exhibits on prehistoric fossils, the Choctaw Trail of Tears, the Butterfield Overland Stage Line and cerleberty Reba McEntire. Free Admission.
