We have two weeks off in August and I thought this may be one place to go. We have two big dogs. Anyone been here, any special things to consider. Thanks, Anna L.

Lake Louise is very beautiful and very busy. The campground there is nothing special and is a distance from the scenic area.

We stay in Yoho NP, just across the border from Louise and make a daytrip to see Louise and Moraine Lake. There are 2 campgrounds in Yoho, both are just off TCH 1. Kicking Horse is about 20 minutes from Louise. You'll want to drive up the road to Takkakaw Falls and the Yoho valley are at the end of the road.

The other campground is the Hoodoos, its further west and less busy. On the way you'll pass by the turn to Emerald Lake. Well worth a visit.

You might want to try out the Truffe Pigs Cafe in Field. It was the finest meal we had last year; very casual, but excellent.
