We are heading for Texas April 17 for a week. We are going to head to Galveston for fun and are going to attempt to drive straight through. Any suggestions from you Texans (or others) that have been in the area. We have two large dogs (huskies) that we are taking with us, of course. That's the reason we got the camper in the first place (lol).

Week trip done. We stayed a couple days at Galveston Island SP and it was windy, but a nice park. Headed to Mustang Island State Park for day 3, they sure pack them in there (forgot to take a pic), they also have bugs with teeth. 4th night headed for Lost Maples State National Area in the Hill Country. What a beautiful park. Would love to visit it again. Day 5 at a private campground in Big Spring (due to 2nd blow out of a tire)-- another story. Didn't like the private campground, it was close to highway and they packed you in there too. Last night on the road before heading home, we stayed at Bottomless Lakes State Park in Rosewell, NM. That's a great place too. Happy Camping this season to everyone.
