Camped this weekend in two places in Pike. The first night, just south of Kenosha Pass on 285 in the Lost Creek Wilderness area. We pulled off where there was a stone fire ring and right by a beaver pond and house. Of course, didn't see the beaver. The second night pulled off of a forest road near Eleven Mile Canyon with a stone fire ring. This year is soooooo much better than last year, as fires were banned all together, fire rings or not. This year the danger is high, but not extreme right now. Anyway, this is recommended for anyone that wants to dry camp in Colorado. It was quiet and the only noise was from a few cars going further up and a couple ATVS coming down the road. Other than that, very nice and peaceful and pretty.
